1-4 July 2026 – Loen, Norway
World BASE Race – the original BASE race – returns for the first time since the pandemic.
WBR was first held in Innfjorden, Norway in 2008, making it the first event of its kind.
It was an annual competition, crowning the fastest in the world, every year, until the pandemic.
After the pandemic, the event went quiet for several years – until now.
We’re back.
WBR 2026 Requirements
• Minimum 150 wingsuit BASE jumps (reference/mentor required)
- Flysight
- A wingsuit you are current on
- Read and accept the World Base Race Competition Rules and Regulations 2026v

Good-to-know Information
Gondola tickets:
Loen Skylift offers 25% discount on 1-, 2-, and 3-day passes for WBR participants during WBR week.
-The discounted passes must be purchased at the ticket office.
-You can buy multiple passes with the discount, but only one active pass at a time.
Accommodation, transport and food will for the most part need to be sorted individually, but the usual Birdman campsite at Martin and Magreta’s farm is available. Everyone registered will be served a BBQ dinner on Saturday night at the Birdman farm party.

- Unlike other BASE races, WBR is not an invitation-only event
- meaning anyone with enough experience can try to qualify for the race!
- All pilots need to have at least 150 wingsuit BASE jumps to enter qualifications. Experience verification/ reference required.
