We’re incredibly excited to…

From the World Base Race 2026 Crew:

We’re incredibly excited to welcome our new crew members, Joakim and Øystein, who are helping us old-timers bring the World Base Race back in 2026. The world’s very first wingsuit BASE competition began in 2008, and for the 2026 reunion four original organizers – Johnny B, Ivar B, Livia and Cato – together with Joakim and Øystein, are looking forward to seeing you in Loen and Hellesylt from July 1–4, 2026.

We’re digging deep into our old hard drives and will continue to share photos and result lists from every year of the WBR, from the very first race in 2008 to the last competition in 2018. Stay tuned.

There’s been plenty of laughter – and a good dose of respect – from the newer crew members as we rediscover old-school BASE photos, videos and gear. From Ivar’s first jumps in 1982 from The Trollwall, to Johnny B and Paul’s groundbreaking jumps from 1990–2008, to Livia’s active years in the sport, and Cato’s many well‑hidden (shy guy!) years of jumping.

Once in, never out.

The WBR crew – old and new – can’t wait to reunite with both veterans and newcomers in the BASE community from July 1–4, 2026.

With kind regards, The entire WBR 2026 crew,

Ivar, Livia, Cato, Joakim, Øystein, Johnny B
